Hello Everyone,
We are so excited to be partnering with TEAMwork on our BIG READ workshop. I spoke with TEAMwork's spoke person today and she is excited to have our group come in, but more importantly she is excited to be affiliated with the BIG READ program. They had every intention of attending the Kick-Off and they missed it due to prior engagement.
We will be posting more information as we move forward.
We are graduate students from Fall 2015 EDAC632 working on an immersive learning project. Our hopes are to encourage others to want to read by exhibiting to them it can be educational and fun. This project is part of The Big Read and our reading is Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451.

Event Ideas?
Found the following information on The Big Read's web site. Our event will not be as large scale as a full community event, but is intended to encourage attendance and stimulate the reader's mind.
Each community event last approximately one month and includes a kick-off event to launch the program locally, ideally attended by the mayor and other local luminaries; major events devoted specifically to the book (e.g. panel discussions and author reading); events using the book as a point of departure (e.g. film screenings and theatrical readings); and book discussions in diverse locations and aimed at a wide range of audiences.
